Global wildlife trafficking surged to its highest level in 2025, as per the Interpol, with 30,000 animals seized during month-long operations. The $20-billion illegal trade involved pangolins, primates, turtles, reptiles, bushmeat, and over 1,300 primate body parts. Authorities from 134 countries detained more than 1,100 suspects, highlighting this crime.
