Pope Leo Urges Israel To Pursue Dialogue In Iran War
Pope Leo spoke with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, urging him to “reopen all paths of dialogue” to end the Iran war and de-escalate regional tensions. The Vatican said the pope, a vocal critic of the conflict, also called on Herzog to protect civilians, respect international law, strengthen humanitarian principles, and pursue durable peace.
