Vehicle Hits & Kills Rare Civet Cat On Tirumala Ghat Road
A rare Civet Cat tragically died this morning on the second ghat road in the Tirumala hills after being struck on the head by an unidentified vehicle. Forest dept personnel promptly arrived at the scene. The Civet cat holds significance, as its musk oil is used in the sacred anointing rituals of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
