MGNREGA Data Shows Decline Across Many States
A Lib Tech tracker comparing MGNREGA employment from April to September 2025 with the same periods in 2024-25 and 2023-24 shows a clear decline. The consortium of academics and activists reviewed data from 20 major MGNREGA states. Of these, 11 recorded reduced employment levels, signaling emerging stress in rural job demand.
