Jan Dhan Scheme Faces High Inactivity Rate Nationwide
Minister Pankaj Chaudhary informed Parliament that 13.04 crore Jan Dhan accounts, 23% of 56.04 crore, are inactive. Uttar Pradesh tops the list of dormant accounts. In response, the government has launched campaigns to reactivate accounts and ensure the scheme continues to support its financial inclusion mission and reach its intended beneficiaries.
