Electricity Demand In Delhi May Surge Beyond 9,000 MW
Delhi is expected to see a significant rise in electricity demand this summer, with peak levels likely exceeding 9,000 MW, up from 8,442 MW last year, officials said today. BRPL areas may reach 3,997 MW, and BYPL areas 1,991 MW. Since first crossing 7,000 MW in 2018, peak demand has grown over 300% since 2002 and could surpass 10,000 MW by 2028-29.
