SC Suggests Excluding Tournaments from Online Gaming Ban
The Supreme Court orally indicated that regular competitions and tournaments might be exempt from the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. The court noted these events do not fall under ‘betting and gambling.’ The 2025 law currently prohibits real-money games, associated banking services, and related advertisements.
