Uttarakhand Clears Minority Education Bill
The Uttarakhand Cabinet has cleared the Minority Educational Institutions Bill-2025, extending benefits to all minority communities. The bill replaces the Madrasa Education Act from July 2026 and sets up a single authority to regulate institutions. While Congress criticized the move, the Madrasa Board welcomed it, saying it would ensure better education.
