Perry Becomes 2nd WBBL Player Crossing 5000 Runs
Australian batter Ellyse Perry scored 111 runs for the Sydney Sixers against the Adelaide Strikers on December 7, becoming the second WBBL player to surpass 5,000 career runs. Beth Mooney leads with 5,446. Sixers posted 173, and despite Bridget Patterson’s 65 for Strikers, Sixers won by one run. Lauren Cheatle and Ashleigh Gardner took two wickets each.
