Iran May Charge Ships Passing Through Hormuz Strait
Iran may impose tolls on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas. Since the US-Israel-Iran conflict began, Iran has attacked or delayed over 1,000 vessels, selectively allowing shipments to China and India, while restricting Western-linked traffic, turning the strait into a controlled corridor.
