IMD Issues RED ALERT To Karnataka & Maharahtra Today
The IMD has issued a red alert for Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall on August 19-20. Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Kerala are on orange alert. Districts including Mumbai, Thane, Raigarh, Ratnagiri, and North-South Goa face flash flood risk. IMD noted intense convective clouds over Konkan and nearby regions.
