India Faces 11 Million Tonnes Solar Waste Challenge
India is projected to produce around 11 million tonnes of solar waste by 2047, mainly from crystalline-silicon modules. Managing this waste would require nearly 300 recycling plants nationwide. Delhi-based think tank Council on Energy, Environment and Water estimates that addressing the issue would need an investment of approximately ₹4,200 crore.
