Trump To Name Fed Chair Powell's Successor In Early 2026
US President Donald Trump said he will announce his choice to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell "early next year." Speaking at a cabinet meeting, he confirmed he has already decided on a candidate but did not reveal the name. Trump also declined to comment on speculation that National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett might be chosen.
