Women’s Representation In Nepal Parliament Rises To 8.5%
In Nepal’s recent elections, 14 women won parliamentary seats, about 8.5% of the total. The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) claimed 13 seats, and the Nepali Congress one. This is an improvement from 2022 but still below the 33% quota mandated by the Constitution. Key winners include Indira Ranamagar, Rubina Acharya, and Sobita Gautam.
