TCS Faces Layoff Protest Amidst Reported Salary Hikes
The Union of IT And ITES Employees (UNITE) protested against TCS, alleging the company laid off 12,000 workers to replace them with lower-paid freshers. UNITE claims the total job cuts could reach 40,000. This comes as TCS announced salary hikes for 80% of its workforce, primarily those with less than 11 years of experience.
