Lok Sabha Debuts Bill Strengthening Transgender Rights
The Lok Sabha witnessed the introduction of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Bill by Social Justice Minister Virendra Kumar. The bill seeks to provide a clear definition of “transgender.” It also proposes graded punishments based on the severity of harm, aiming to strengthen legal protections for transgender persons.
