Gujarat: Former IAS Officer Pradeep Sharma Jailed For 5 Years
Retired IAS officer Pradeep Sharma was sentenced to 5 years' imprisonment and fined ₹50,000 in a money laundering case linked to concessional government land allotments to Welspun India (2003‑2006). Convicted under PMLA, he allegedly laundered proceeds through his wife's accounts. His seized properties remain with the government, and he is currently in jail.
