Japan PM Pushes For Summit With North Korea Over Abductions

Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has sent a message to North Korea proposing a summit focused on resolving the abduction issue. She addressed the matter at an event dedicated to securing the return of Japanese nationals kidnapped in the 1970s and 1980s. Japan officially recognizes 17 abductees and suspects North Korean links to many more cases.
