Pitbulls, Rottweilers Among 6 Dog Breeds Banned In Chandigarh
The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has banned six aggressive dog breeds, American Bulldog, Pitbull, Bull Terrier, Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, and Rottweiler, under the new Pet and Community Dogs Bye-Laws, 2025. Existing owners have 45 days to register their pets. Registered dogs must be muzzled, leashed, and trained to ensure public safety.
