Sikkim is launching a digital system for permits to high-altitude and border areas, replacing manual paperwork. Tourists can apply online for QR-based Restricted and Protected Area Permits to destinations like Nathu La, Tsomgo Lake, Lachen, Lachung, and Zuluk. The platform will sync data across agencies for faster verification and smoother travel.
