'Will Engage Constructively': India Responds To Hasina’s Death Sentence
India has noted the Bangladesh court verdict sentencing former PM Sheikh Hasina to death for “crimes against humanity” during the 2024 unrest. The MEA said it will engage constructively with all stakeholders in Bangladesh’s best interest. Bangladesh has also requested Hasina’s extradition from India, citing a binding bilateral treaty.
