Mamata Launches ₹8,487-Crore Project For 20,000km Roads
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will launch a major road project worth ₹8,487 crore. The plan includes building over 20,000 km of new roads under the Pathashree and Rastashree schemes. Of these, 15,011 km are rural roads and 5,019 km are urban roads. Construction is expected to start in January after recent cabinet approval.
