New Year Shock: TVs To Get Costlier From JAN 2026
In a setback for television buyers, TV prices are set to rise from January 2026. Dealers say prices may increase by 3-4 percent due to higher memory chip costs and the rupee's depreciation beyond 90 paisa against the dollar. The earlier GST cut on TVs from 28 percent to 18 percent has been largely offset by the ongoing chip crisis.
