Pope Visits Blue Mosque, Meets Turkiye’s Faith Leaders
Pope Leo XIV visited Istanbul’s Blue Mosque, beginning a busy day of meetings and prayers with Turkiye’s religious leaders. He walked through the mosque in his socks and viewed its famous dome and artwork. Later, he planned to meet Christian leaders and pray with Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew at the Church of Saint George.
