Bangladesh Peacekeepers Killed In Sudan Attack
Six Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers were killed and eight injured during a terrorist attack on a UN base in Sudan’s Abyei region. Fighting continues in the oil-rich disputed area, with rescue and treatment efforts ongoing. Bangladesh, a major UN contributor, currently has over 6,000 personnel deployed in conflict zones, including Sudan.
