Supreme Court Flags ₹3,000 Crore Digital Scam Crisis
The Supreme Court disclosed that fraudsters have scammed more than ₹3,000 crore from mainly elderly victims through “digital arrests.” Citing a confidential government report, a bench led by Justice Surya Kant emphasized the alarming scale of these crimes. Justice Kant warned that the problem is far bigger than previously believed.
