Telangana Fertility Rate Set For Sharp Decline
Telangana’s fertility rate is expected to fall to 1.5 by 2031–35, much lower than India’s 1.9 rate and below the replacement level of 2.1. Reports say better health, education, and development are slowing population growth. The state will see fewer births, an aging population, and almost zero population growth in the coming decades.
