The Supreme Court of India upheld the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruling that anyone converting to Christianity loses Scheduled Caste (SC) status. SC identity is limited to Hindus, Sikhs, or Buddhists under the 1950 Order. Conversion to another religion removes all SC benefits, protection, and reservation rights, without exceptions.
