US Expands Social Media Vetting For Visa Applicants
The Trump administration has expanded the “social media vetting” rule for US visa applicants. Effective March 30, applicants must make their social media accounts public. Authorities will closely review online activity for national security risks, and visas will only be granted once posts are verified to pose no threat to the United States.
