CEC Stresses Vigilance Against Last-Minute Election Incentives
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said policy decisions made before poll dates are not covered by the model code of conduct. He urged voters, especially first-timers, to participate in free, fair, and violence-free elections, warning against inducements and last-minute populist promises, calling elections “the festival of democracy.”
