Papikondalu Tourism Halted for 40 Days Amid Godavari Floods
Papikondalu tourism has remained suspended for 40 days since July 11 due to rising Godavari floodwaters. The Water Resources Dept halted excursions as heavy rains elevated river levels. Even in August, conditions remain unsafe. Tourist boats have been brought ashore near Gandiposhamma Ammavari temple as restoration awaits improvement in flood levels.
