According to the IQAir report, in 2025, French Polynesia had the cleanest air, followed by Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Barbados, New Caledonia, Iceland, Bermuda, Andorra, and Reunion Island. The report noted that high population densities in Africa and Asia result in concentrated PM2.5 pollution, adversely affecting air quality in those regions.
