SC To Examine Surrogacy Ban On Second Child
The Supreme Court will examine if banning married couples with secondary infertility from opting for surrogacy to have a second child restricts reproductive choice. The Union government has defended the law’s constitutionality, arguing surrogacy is not a fundamental right. It said the option should follow failed attempts through natural birth.
