Punjab Denies Amritpal Singh Temporary Parliament Release
The Punjab government rejected jailed MP Amritpal Singh’s request for temporary release to attend the Winter Parliament session starting December 1. Singh, held under the National Security Act for the 2023 Ajnala incident, won the 2024 Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat while in jail. The Supreme Court had earlier directed him to approach the High Court.
