A UK court sentenced Ugandan judge and UN official Lydia Mugambe to six years and four months for modern slavery offences. Convicted under the Modern Slavery Act, she exploited a young woman as an unpaid maid while at Oxford. Mugambe also intimidated the victim and conspired to break immigration laws, abusing her status and legal influence.
