EC To Retain 500 CAPF Companies In Bengal After Polls
The Election Commission has decided to continue deployment of 500 CAPF companies in West Bengal even after vote counting on May 4 amid law and order concerns. Citing past post-poll violence, the move aims to ensure security. Additionally, 200 CAPF companies will guard EVMs, strong rooms, and counting centres until the entire counting process concludes.
