Parliament Set To Table Online Gaming Bill Today
The government will introduce the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, in Parliament today. It bans advertising and financial transactions for real-money games, prescribing up to three years in jail and ₹1 crore fine. The Bill addresses addiction, financial risks, money laundering, and proposes a regulator with ₹50 crore setup cost.
