Powerful Afghan Earthquake Leaves 7 Dead, 150 Injured
A powerful 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Mazar-i-Sharif in northern Afghanistan early today, killing at least seven people and injuring more than 150. The tremor was recorded near the town of Khulm at a depth of 23 km, according to the National Center for Seismology. Rescue teams are responding as authorities assess damage in the affected region.
