The Chinese govt has has announced that it will impose a 13% VAT on condoms, which have been tax-exempt for three decades. This decision was taken to encourage people to have children, as the birth rate in the country has been falling for 3 years. The fact that the 'one-child' policy was once implemented and now the opposite has become a topic of discussion
