CLOSING BELL: Sensex Down 1,470 Points, Nifty At 488 Points

The Sensex and Nifty opened at fresh record levels in early trade on Friday, March 13, 2026. The Sensex started trading today at 74563.92, down at 1,470.50 points or 1.93%, and the Nifty was at 23151.10, down at 488.05 points or 2.06%. Meanwhile, the Indian rupee was trading today at 92.44 against the dollar.
