India Opposes China-Backed IFD Pact At WTO Meet

India strongly opposed the China-led Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement at the WTO  conference. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said the pact risks undermining WTO principles. India refused its inclusion as an Annex 4 agreement, while expressing willingness for constructive discussions on WTO reforms and safeguards for plurilateral agreements.
