Rupee Hits Record Low As Brent Crude Crosses $100
The Indian rupee fell 32 paise to a record low of 92.36 against the US dollar after Brent crude oil prices climbed above $100 per barrel. Rising global oil prices and West Asia tensions increased inflation concerns and pressured the currency. The Reserve Bank of India reportedly intervened by selling dollars to support the rupee.
