Center Proposes 'DHRUVA' To Modernise India’s Address System
The Department of Posts has drafted amendments to the Post Office Act, 2023, introducing 'DHRUVA,' an user-centric digital addressing system. It aims to replace textual addresses with labels like “name@entity,” similar to email. Part of India’s digital public infrastructure push, the system will also allow private sector participation.
