India Sees Strong HIV Decline With Major Progress
India has made big progress against HIV from 2010 to 2024. New infections dropped by almost 49% and AIDS-related deaths fell by over 81%. Testing, treatment access, and viral load checks also increased. The government will mark World AIDS Day with events, exhibitions, and new awareness campaigns to continue reducing HIV and end stigma.
