Telangana Polls: Congress Wins Majority Of Sarpanch Posts
In Telangana’s first phase of Gram Panchayat elections, Congress-backed candidates won 2,319 of 4,236 Sarpanch posts, securing majorities across most districts except Siddipet and Kumaram Bheem. BRS won 1,159 seats and BJP 188. With 84.28% voter turnout, over 56 lakh voters participated. Counting included 396 unanimous Sarpanch elections.
