ICMR Seeks Monoclonal Antibodies Against Nipah Virus

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited Expressions of Interest from organizations and manufacturers to develop monoclonal antibodies against the Nipah virus. NiV poses a serious zoonotic threat in India, with outbreaks since 2001 and fatality rates of 40-75%. The Bangladesh strain spreads easily and causes higher mortality.
