Nepal's Youngest PM Balen Takes Oath Today
Balendra Shah ‘Balen,’ a rapper-turned-politician and former Kathmandu mayor, became Nepal’s youngest PM at 35. Sworn in at Sheetal Niwas, his ceremony blended Hindu and Buddhist rituals. Balen’s Rastriya Swatantra Party won 182 of 275 HoR seats, defeating traditional parties. He defeated ex-PM K P Sharma Oli by a large margin.
