India's Emergency Oil Buffer Falls Short Of Capacity
The Central govt revealed that India's existing oil reserves would last only about 9.5 days if imports were disrupted. India's Strategic Petroleum Reserves located in Vizag, Mangalore, and Padur currently hold 33.72 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil, against a total storage capacity of 53.3 lakh metric tonnes, highlighting limited buffer availability.
