1,845 Live Births Reported In Mizoram In January
Mizoram recorded 1,845 live births and 720 deaths in January 2026, with more girls (949) than boys (896). Aizawl led with 732 births, followed by Lunglei (292) and Lawngtlai (170). Urban areas accounted for 1,127 births and 479 deaths. The month also saw 5 stillbirths, 15 infant deaths, and five children aged 1-5. Male deaths continued to outnumber females.
