Stock Markets Close In Green: Sensex Rises 40 Pts, Nifty Up 41
The Sensex and Nifty 50 closed higher today amid mixed global cues. The Sensex rose 40 points to 83,978.49, while the Nifty 50 gained 41 points, or 0.16%, to settle at 25,763.35. Mid and small-cap indices outperformed, with the BSE Midcap up 0.62% and Smallcap up 0.71%. The Indian rupee closed at 88.08 against the US dollar.
